Impact of the Cold on the Population's Life
In Transcarpathia, Prykarpattia, and the south and southeast of Ukraine, frost is maintained at night, while during the day the temperature approaches 0 °C. It is noted that these cold weather conditions may affect the daily life of the population, so it is worth being careful when going outside.
“The severe frosts that are forecasted may have serious consequences for people's health, especially for the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.” - Natalia Ptukha
It is important for the population to be prepared for such weather conditions, follow safety rules, and limit their time outside in extreme temperatures. Preparing for the cold, including checking heating systems and ensuring warm clothing is available, can help avoid unpleasant situations. Given that such weather phenomena can affect transportation infrastructure, drivers should also be particularly cautious on the roads.
