M&S refuses favorite Christmas snacks: what's disappearing from the shelves.
According to The Sun: M&S confirmed that this year it will not bring back the popular Christmas snack – dark chocolate chili tortilla chips.
These chips, which previously appeared on M&S shelves during the festive seasons, will not be available this year.
M&SLast year these chips sold for £2.50 per pack.
This news was spread by one shopper who expressed a desire to bring back the tasty and spicy snack.
“@marksandspencer Please bring these back, I beg you. The cinnamon tortilla rolls aren’t the same!”
In response, an M&S representative noted:
“We don’t have plans to bring back the Dark Chocolate Chili Tortillas, but can confirm our Cinnamon Tortilla rolls are now available in store for grabs.”
Dark chocolate chili tortilla chips were described as “crispy chips with pepper, half covered in rich dark chocolate.”
Shoppers highly rated this snack, but some noted that it wasn't entirely healthy. One shared:
“I loved these but loved them too much and they were very unhealthy for me.”
Another added:
“These were delish, very moreish!”
A third shopper also expressed satisfaction:
“These are absolutely delicious.. they had them years ago but stopped for the last two Christmases… but they’re back! Amazing.”
Despite the positive reviews, there were also those who were not satisfied:
“They could be good, but too much chocolate, overpowers the nacho. Needs a better balance of savory and sweet.”
“I just tried these. They’re a bit weird, they mainly taste chocolatey, you can’t really taste the chili, but you still get the chili sensation on your tongue.”
On a positive note, it was reported that milk chocolate and cinnamon tortilla chips are already available in stores again.
These cinnamon chips feature a perfect combination with milk chocolate, making them a tasty snack.
In previous years they sold out quickly, so shoppers should hurry to get a package in store.
New Christmas snacks in stores
Although dark chocolate chili tortilla chips will not be available this year, other festive favorites are returning or debuting for the first time.
Pringles has launched a new flavor called 'Mystery Santa Flavor' that leaves shoppers guessing.
Flavors “Roasted Turkey” and “Pigs in Blankets” have also returned.
Additionally, Quality Street sweet tubes are already on store shelves.
These packages, filled with sweets, have become popular during Christmas and may have attractive pricing when a price war begins.
Earlier, Tesco offered a promotion where a 600-gram pack could be purchased for £2.95 with a club card.
As for chocolates, Mars has also unveiled its Christmas line for this year.
The company, known for its beloved treats like Maltesers, Galaxy, Mars Bars, Snickers, and M&M's, has released innovations including a Milky Way Advent Calendar, gingerbread Maltesers reindeers, and a Christmas bag of Maltesers.
Thus, although there will be no dark chocolate chili tortilla chips this year, shoppers' joy can still be found in new and familiar flavors that promise to brighten the festive season.
