MSC Cruises cancel Baltic cruise in 2026: what is known about the changes.
According to The Sun: MSC Cruises has canceled its popular summer cruise for 2026 due to changes in the itinerary. This decision has disrupted the plans of many passengers who intended to join the cruise on board the MSC Magnifica next year, but there is also good news for fans of the ship.
MSC RightsThe Baltic cruise, scheduled for May 16, 2026, has been canceled due to changes in the ship's global itinerary.
New global cruise schedule
The vessel will now operate a cruise from the German port of Warnemünde, lasting ten nights in Northern Europe. Passengers will be able to visit various cities, including Ronne, Visby, Klaipeda, Tallinn, Kotka, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Karlskrona.
Originally, the cruise was set to end in Italy before heading to the Baltic tourist route, but due to the extension of the Northern Europe route, MSC Magnifica will not return to Italy until May 16 - the same day the new departure was scheduled.
Impact on passengers
According to MSC representatives, guests who have already booked the cruise were given the option to stay on board for an additional 12 days for free. Other passengers were given two options: to move their booking to other dates or to completely cancel, with a refund.
It is also worth noting that the changes in the MSC Magnifica schedule may affect another cruise scheduled for May 3, 2026, which may delay its start.
AFPFurthermore, MSC Cruises recently canceled all sailings scheduled for the cruise ship Meraviglia from November 8, 2026, to April 11, 2027. The ship will be moved from New York to Miami, and the company informed passengers about the cancellation of their trips.
In a letter, the company noted: “MSC Meraviglia will now depart from Miami, offering cruises lasting 6 and 8 nights to the Caribbean Islands and the Bahamas.”
The planned changes have become significant news for many cruise enthusiasts, as they may affect sports events, summer vacations, and tourism trends in the region. MSC Cruises is actively adapting its routes to meet the new requirements and preferences of passengers, reflecting their pragmatic approach to changing flight schedules.
