Ukrainian cities are modernizing playgrounds: how the new space in the park looks.
According to The Sun: The beloved playground is ready to return to action after a £250,000 renovation.
This week, a new playground is ready to open in Ipswich - after three months of work.
The work began on Monday, May 19, 2025, to create a new playground, which now includes 120 play elements in designated areas.
The updated playground in Chantry Park is the eighth playground in the city to receive an upgrade as part of a total £3.5 million strategy to modernize 40 playgrounds by 2027.
What does it offer?
The new playground is not just swings and slides - it is divided into themed zones to provide entertainment for every age group.
Kids can enjoy a play area with a fishing pond, where they can jump along the path in water bouncers and springers.
Teenagers can race through a tubing grove with a tube slide, and teenagers can relax in a special cozy hall.
A wide range of sensory equipment is installed at various heights to provide an interesting and engaging experience for all abilities.
Local residents requested this - so a completely new cable has been added. Park teams are repurposing wood from felled trees in the park for the cable, giving children a fun, sustainable space to explore and relax.
There are now two accessible toilets on site with baby changing facilities, as well as fresh seating, picnic tables, and benches for families.
When will it open?
The new playground, aimed at children up to 14 years old, will officially open at 11:30 on Friday, August 22 - just in time for the bank holiday celebrations.
In the lead-up to the opening, Councillor Lucy Trenchard said: 'We can't wait for the new play area to open and see families exploring it!
The new space will provide children up to 14 years old and of all abilities with a fun, inclusive, and stimulating space for recreation.'
The reconstructed playground in Ipswich is ready to open after three months of work. This playground is just part of the city's playground reconstruction strategy to make them modern and engaging for children of all ages. This initiative is expected to allow children and their families to enjoy a new, exciting, and playful space.
