Paultons Park has been awarded the best in Britain: what is its secret.
According to The Sun: A yellow warning for strong winds did not hinder cheerful visits to theme parks. Last week, my friend and I decided to ignore the warnings from the Meteorological Service about strong gusts of wind and visited Paultons Park in New Forest.
Paulton's park SuppliedAnd it turned out to be a wonderful decision! The maximum waiting time for rides was only about four minutes, and for popular attractions like Al’s Auto Academy and Farmyard Flyer, it was only two minutes.
This fact makes Paultons my favorite theme park in Europe. After all, it doesn’t matter how great the rides are if you have to wait an hour for each of them.
On favorite rides for kids, such as Velociraptor and Cat-O-Pillar, we managed to ride about three times in 15 minutes.
Shooting Ghosts
Paultons is perfect for little ones. I first took my son there when he was two years old, intrigued by the famous world of Peppa Pig.
Now he is in second grade, so he has outgrown Peppa and moved on to beginner rides, of which there are plenty here. We traveled with a three-year-old and two six-year-olds, and the park had enough entertainment for everyone.
Paultons is always chosen by young families, but in recent years, they have actively invested in attractions for older kids. For example, next year Valgard - the land of Vikings, with two roller coasters and a swing, will open.
There is also a new interactive attraction, Ghostly Manor, where you can shoot ghosts with laser rifles. I was pleased with my score of 68,000 until I saw that the all-time high score is an impressive 325,000 - from a completely indifferent teenager.

And he is not the only one who thinks so: Ghostly Manor won the award for Best New Attraction at this year's awards in the UK, where Paultons received ten prizes, including the prestigious Theme Park of the Year award.
I would wholeheartedly support this, considering a few key factors: short queues, excellent service (all staff are smiling), cleanliness (the restrooms were immaculate), and attention to detail. For example, there is free parking here, unlike many other large theme parks, and there are information leaflets at the entrance with details about all the day’s events.
If you plan to visit before the season ends, their Halloween celebration will run from October 16 to November 3. And autumn is a wonderful time to explore the surrounding New Forest.
Supplied
We stayed just ten minutes away from the park, at Green Hill Farm Holiday Village in Landford, in a three-star Premium caravan that looked like something out of Doctor Who Tardis.
From the outside, it looked like an ordinary static caravan, but inside there were three spacious bedrooms - two with twin beds and one master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom - plus a shared bathroom. The spacious living room and kitchen with French doors leading to the veranda impressed us the most. The quality of the fittings was well thought out: thick carpets, heavy tartan curtains, and sturdy wooden wardrobes.
The beds were also very comfortable, with soft linens and extra pillows. Additionally, there were plenty of other attractions on-site.
Pig Racing
Our kids enjoyed jumping on trampolines and playing on the playground, while my friend and I enjoyed wine from the comfort of the restaurant overlooking the play area.
There was also a wildlife trail, petanque, table tennis, and clay cooking, along with paid activities such as building shelters, bike rentals, fishing, target shooting, and archery.
Nearby are Longdown Activity Farm, Bolderwood Deer Watch Trail, crab catching at Lymington Town Quay, and Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm - a small but very cute farm where we fed sheep, horses, goats, cattle, pigs, and chickens, and also had the opportunity to watch popular pig races.
As a result, despite the yellow weather warnings, we spent the whole weekend outdoors, smiling with happiness and filled with positive experiences.
