The British Town of Hythe: Why It Is Worth Attention from Ukrainian Tourists.
The Charming Hythe in Kent
According to The Sun: Despite the fact that the weather is getting windy and cool, this is no reason to refuse travels to one of the most beautiful resort towns in Great Britain.
This seaside town often remains overshadowed by its famous neighbor.

Hythe, located in Kent, is just a short bus ride from Folkestone, although I recommend a walk along the promenade (if you are well dressed).
The town does not have a train station, but local vintage trains run, making it a desirable place to visit.
The town feels more like a small village than a bustling resort, and on the main street, you will find everything you need.
Usually, I start with coffee in a small local café Mit Milche Coffee.
Hythe is famous for its cafés, but I always visit the cozy Root, where vegetarian quiches and sandwiches are served (the best spot is by the window, surrounded by plants, where there is plenty of light).
If you are looking for good deals, several second-hand shops won't disappoint you.
I also love to peek into the Malthouse Arcade, which is open only on Friday and Saturday. Here you will find plenty of books, vinyl records, and interesting knick-knacks.
The Royal Military Canal
One of the most beautiful landmarks in the city center is the 28-mile Royal Military Canal.
Built between 1804 and 1809, it was initially meant for defensive purposes during the Napoleonic Wars.
Although it was never used for its intended purpose, it remained a wonderful waterway for strolls.
With your eyes closed, you can feel like you are in Amsterdam.

Waiting on the Shore
If you want to spend time on the beach, Hythe's waterfront offers great views of France on a clear day.
Even in the colder season, you can see crowds at The Waterfront Hythe, especially on Sunday, when a full roast lunch is served and sometimes DJs are invited.

Of course, a pub is always the best place to warm up, and you can choose between Kings Head, established in 1583, and the cozy White Hart.
In the vicinity, there is also Hide & Fox, which has received a Michelin star for the second time this year.
I have not yet had the chance to stay there, but one of the most popular places is the Hyatt Imperial, a Victorian hotel right on the beach, with a champagne bar by the shore.
To get to Hythe, it takes only 52 minutes by train from London St Pancras to Folkestone West, and then a 15-minute taxi ride or 25-minute bus ride.
