Will Smith's former friend sues Jada Pinkett Smith for $3 million.

According to ТСН: A lawsuit has been filed against the former wife of American actor Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The plaintiff is the actor's former friend Bilal Salam. He accuses Jada of organizing a campaign aimed at discrediting his character. The lawsuit states that the conflict began in 2021 during the celebration of Will Smith's birthday, which took place on September 25. Bilal claims that during this event, Jada behaved aggressively towards him and even threatened him.

“Defendant Jada Pinkett Smith approached the plaintiff with about seven members of her entourage, began to verbally behave aggressively towards him, and threatened the plaintiff, stating that if he continued to “reveal her personal matters,” he would “eventually disappear or get a bullet,” and demanded that he sign a non-disclosure agreement,” reads the statement.

Shortly after this, a new conflict arose between them, allegedly after the 2022 Oscar awards ceremony when Will Smith slapped host Chris Rock. Bilal claims that Jada reached out to him asking for help in “crisis management” to prevent damage to the actor's reputation. However, he refused, as “his conscience does not allow him to participate in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign.”

After his refusal, according to Bilal, a revenge campaign began, which included threats from individuals associated with Will and Jada.

The man decided to take legal action, accusing Jada Pinkett Smith of deliberately inflicting emotional distress, extreme and outrageous conduct, as well as intimidation and bribery. Bilal Salam seeks three million dollars in compensation and a public retraction of all false statements made by the woman.

Recently, an appellate court also reviewed the case of Ukrainian actor Ostap Stupka, who in 2023, while intoxicated, became the cause of a traffic accident that injured a person. The actor requested leniency, but the judge left the punishment of three years in prison and an eight-year driving ban unchanged.
