In Kharkiv region, the curfew hours are being shortened: new rules will take effect from August 17.
The curfew duration in the Kharkiv region has been shortened - now it will be from midnight to five in the morning. The changes will be implemented from August 16 to August 17, although in certain communities with increased risks, previous restrictions will remain in place.
The head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synehubov, announced this on August 15.
'
At the meeting of the Defense Council of the Kharkiv region, a number of important decisions regarding security were made. We are shortening the curfew hours in the Kharkiv region. Now they will last from 00:00 to 5:00. These changes will take effect from 00:00 on August 17 (on the night from Saturday to Sunday). This decision was made in response to a request from businesses. We understand the needs of the economy. Currently, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the security situation allows us to take this step', emphasized Synehubov.
At the same time, the head of the OVA noted that the new restrictions do not apply to communities where a strengthened curfew is already in effect by local authorities' decision.
'
Additionally, a decision was made about the forced evacuation of families with children from the village of Odnorobivka in the Zolochiv community of the Bohodukhiv district due to a dangerous situation. Currently, there are 2 families and a total of 5 children aged 5 to 12 years. All of them will be provided assistance for relocation to a safer place', he added.
Regarding the upcoming state holidays, there will be no additional restrictions in the region. Law enforcement will operate in an enhanced mode, and residents are encouraged to avoid large gatherings and respond to air raid alerts.
The gradual easing of the curfew in the Kharkiv region indicates an improvement in the overall security situation in the region, but caution and responsibility remain important factors in avoiding potential threats.Read also
