Five Unknown Heroes Laid to Rest at Ukraine’s National Military Cemetery: Inside the Ceremony.

According to Novyny.live: On March 28, 2026, a solemn burial ceremony took place at the National Military Memorial Cemetery for five unidentified Ukrainian defenders. High-ranking officials and members of the public gathered to pay their respects to the fallen heroes. This event marked a significant moment for families, friends, and all who consider themselves part of the broader Ukrainian nation.
The burial of these unknown defenders was part of a larger commemoration, as six additional unidentified soldiers were also interred on the same day. In total, the National Military Memorial Cemetery now holds 242 graves, 172 of which belong to unknown Ukrainian defenders. Additionally, there are 70 graves of identified defenders and 10 burials in the columbarium wall. More than 5,897 people took part in honoring the fallen, underscoring the importance of remembering those who gave their lives for their country.
