In Odesa region, children on an ATV collided with a car — consequences.

In the Odesa region, a 6-year-old boy, riding with a friend on an ATV, drove out of the yard onto the road and collided with a car. As a result of the accident, a 10-year-old girl was injured and is currently in the hospital.

Event Details

The road traffic accident occurred in one of the settlements of the Lyubashivka community. The 6-year-old local resident, without his mother's permission, while she was busy with her affairs, drove out of the yard on the ATV onto the road. While riding down the street, at one of the intersections, he crashed into the left side of a car driven by a 38-year-old man.

The boy was uninjured, while his passenger, who was sitting behind him, was taken to the hospital with bodily injuries. A sobriety test for the driver showed that he was sober.

How the Child's Mother Will Be Punished

The police issued a protocol against the boy's mother under part 1 of Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (failure to fulfill parental responsibilities). The woman faces a fine of up to 1700 hryvnias.
