A soldier in Odesa region during a quarrel with a local resident struck him several times in the face. The victim sustained a broken nose and a traumatic brain injury. The court ruled that the fight constituted intentional minor bodily harm and issued a verdict against the soldier.
This information was obtained by Novyny.LIVE from the materials of the Unified State Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
It is known that the incident occurred in the evening of July 22, 2025, near one of the houses in Odesa region. The soldier argued with a local resident. The conflict quickly escalated into a fight: the soldier struck the man in the face several times.
As a result of the blows, the victim fell to the ground and suffered serious injuries - a closed traumatic brain injury, a broken nose, and multiple bruises. The forensic examination established that these injuries belong to the category of minor bodily harm that caused a short-term health disorder.
In court, the accused admitted his guilt, sincerely regretted his actions, and agreed to the consideration of the case in a simplified procedure. The victim also did not object to this format.
What is the punishment for beating a person
The court classified the soldier's actions as intentional minor bodily harm. Considering that there were no aggravating circumstances and the accused had no previous convictions, the court imposed a fine of 850 hryvnias.
It should be noted that in Poltava region, a soldier gave a bribe to the commander to remain in the rear. We also reported that in Lviv region, a soldier left his place of service without permission from the command and did not return for almost four months.
As a result of the conflict between the serviceman and a resident of one of the houses in Odesa region, the soldier inflicted injuries on the victim that the court recognized as intentional minor bodily harm. As a consequence, he was fined 850 hryvnias. Unfortunately, similar cases are not uncommon in Ukrainian society, and the detection and punishment of those responsible for them is an important task for law enforcement agencies.
