In the Odesa region, beach inspections have been intensified after the tragedy in Zatoka. Additional patrols are surveying the coastline and conducting conversations with vacationers. The police are identifying risks and hazards and monitoring compliance with water safety rules.The Odesa City Council is also involved in checking the beaches. If illegal areas are identified, reports are drawn up and the police are involved. Local authorities have the power to terminate contracts with tenants for violations of agreements.Currently, there are 32 safe bathing zones in the Odesa region that are permitted for visiting. Among them are beaches in the city of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Prymorske. Zatoka remains closed to visitors at this time.
