A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was fined 35 thousand hryvnias for attempting to bribe his commander.
A court hearing took place in Poltava regarding a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who tried to avoid being sent to the front by offering a bribe. The court found him guilty and imposed a large fine.

The Lubny District Court determined that the military offered his commander a bribe of 255 thousand hryvnias. This money was intended to influence the decision about keeping the accused in the rear military unit and excluding him from the lists of servicemen sent to the front.

The court found the man guilty of offering an illegal benefit and imposed a fine of 35,700 hryvnias.
There have been previous cases where law enforcement helped draft evaders leave the country for a bribe. For example, in Chernihiv, a serviceman offered another soldier a release from military service due to health reasons.
