In the Ternopil region, the police uncovered the activities of a criminal group engaged in the illegal sale of drugs, weapons, and ammunition. It was led by a previously convicted resident of the region who managed the operations of nine accomplices. The police seized about 10 kg of psychotropic substances and discovered a cache with an arsenal in a forest strip.
According to the investigation, the organizer of the group was a 50-year-old resident of Ternopil region, who already had a criminal record for drug offenses. He created supply and sale channels for drugs, firearms, and ammunition, personally managing the actions of the nine group members.
How the criminal group operated and what the police discovered
Members of the group sought out clients interested in weapons and ammunition and also organized a wide network for selling psychotropic substances — amphetamines, methamphetamines, PVP, mephedrone. Every month, the criminals sold about 3000 doses of drugs, earning nearly 2 million hryvnias. During searches, law enforcement officials seized about 10 kg of prohibited substances. According to experts, the value of the seized drugs on the 'black' market exceeds 8 million hryvnias.
In the forest strip, the police discovered a concealed cache with weapons, grenades, a grenade launcher, ammunition, and other means. Seven individuals have already been notified of suspicion, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
