The incident took place at night in the village of Velyka Uholyka in Tyachiv district of Transcarpathian region.
Police reported that the driver of the car, in which Father Artemiy and three other passengers were traveling, lost control, causing the car to swerve off the road and flip over into a ravine.
As a result of the accident, one of the passengers, a 53-year-old man, died on the spot, another passenger, a 55-year-old resident of the village of Kopashnevo in Khust district, died on the way to the hospital.
