NABU has announced suspicion against 5 MPs: in a case of bribery for voting in the Rada.
According to ТСН: NABU and SAP suspect five members of parliament
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have announced suspicion against five members of parliament, who are considered participants of an organized criminal group in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to NABU's information, these MPs "encouraged" their colleagues to vote in favor of their interests by offering additional payments.
"The group had a hierarchical structure and a clear division of roles. It consisted of current members of parliament and officials of the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The group's activities were coordinated by one of the MPs,"
- states the official message.
To organize the voting, the "coordinators" used a specially created WhatsApp group, where they sent instructions with the numbers of the bills. After the votes, the MPs transferred money to their colleagues.
Among the suspects are 5 members of the Ukrainian parliament. All of them have received motions for preventive measures, but NABU has not yet disclosed their names.
Let us remind that earlier NABU and SAP reported the exposure of an organized criminal group, which included MPs who systematically received bribes for voting in parliament.
The media have already learned the names of the MPs involved in this high-profile case. This exposure underscores the seriousness of the corruption issue in the Ukrainian parliament and the importance of transparency in politics, as society demands accountability from its representatives.
