Businesswoman Vlada Molchanova on bail from the NABU: The amount exceeds the standard

According to inkorr.com: Vlada Molchanova, a Ukrainian businesswoman and founder of Stolitsa Group, intends to appeal to the court regarding the suspicion raised against her by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. According to her, the bail amount demanded is significant and exceeds the usual sizes for cases related to 'budget thefts.'

'For 'corrupt officials who steal from the budget', the bail is set to be tens of times lower. I am a businesswoman and have no relation to any state flows... I am ready to fight, despite the fact that I have just recovered from childbirth.'

Molchanova assures that she intends to prove the unfoundedness of the suspicion raised against her. She considers herself a victim of a specially planned operation and does not intend to reconcile with the accusations she believes to be unfair. The investigation has been ongoing for more than four years and looks like an attempt to expedite its conclusion.

Recall that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has charged former people's deputy Yuriy Ivaniushchenko with the appropriation of 18 hectares of land worth over 160 million hryvnias, as well as his lawyers. Vlada Molchanova is also involved in this case.

Molchanova believes her accusations are unfounded and promises to prove her innocence. The case has been ongoing for four years and looks like an attempt to hasten the completion of the investigation.

The situation around Vladislava Molchanova has attracted media interest, as corruption investigations in Ukraine are often accompanied by political context. The case in which the businesswoman is involved may affect her reputation and career, as well as spark discussions about the fairness of applying the legislation in similar situations.
