The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine compared the scale of losses of Russia and Ukraine as of the end of 2024.
The enemy's losses in the war exceed the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by eight times, reported the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Anatoliy Barhylevych. He emphasized that for Ukraine, the main thing is a careful attitude towards people and focusing on defeating the enemy with weapons. He also stressed that weapons and ammunition could run out tomorrow, so it is important to have a sufficient number of shells, guns, and armored vehicles for the protection of military personnel. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is planning and redistributing ammunition to ensure that each brigade, battalion, and company has the necessary supplies. In particular, there is a need for precision strike capabilities in Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost about 725.7 thousand personnel since the beginning of the war. The Russian military outnumbers in personnel, but recently fewer soldiers are going on assaults. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha emphasized that Russia loses one and a half thousand troops daily in the war against Ukraine. However, the situation at the front, according to General Barhylevych, is indeed difficult, but not critical, with the fiercest battles taking place in the Kursk region.
