National Bank Issued a Coin Dedicated to Boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
The National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative coin "Absolute" in honor of the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who is the world heavyweight champion. The coin is dedicated to his victory in May 2024 when he became the absolute champion, uniting four belts. The obverse of the coin depicts a Crimean Tatar ornament symbolizing Usyk's Crimean roots, and the reverse shows his image against the backdrop of the "Motherland" monument. The coin is made of nickel silver, with a circulation of up to 50 thousand. It will be available for purchase at the NBU online store and at distributor banks.
The head of the National Bank, Andrii Pyshnyi, stated that the name of the coin "Absolute" symbolizes the achievements of Usyk and all Ukrainians striving for victory.
It is also worth mentioning that the National Bank issued a commemorative coin dedicated to the communications and cybersecurity troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Previously, the National Bank also issued coins dedicated to the Crimean Tatar ornament and Ukrainian military communicators.
