A Tornado Passed Over Chernihiv (video).
Severe weather continues in northern Ukraine. Residents of Chernihiv in several areas witnessed a tornado. This was reported by 'Glavcom'.
The last similar atmospheric phenomenon was noted by locals in April, just before the onset of cooling. According to meteorologists, tornadoes form during intense surface heating on dry and windy days. They differ from true tornadoes in that they are not associated with storm fronts. Tornadoes are not typical for Ukraine, but they can occur, especially in summer or during active atmospheric fronts.
A tornado or twister is an atmospheric phenomenon that is a rapid whirl with great destructive power. It arises in a storm cloud and moves from top to bottom in the form of a column or funnel, picking up sand, water, and other debris.
It is also worth noting that the forecast for late spring and early summer promises gradual warming and comfortable weather with rare precipitation. In June, temperatures are expected to be between +23...26° C, while in the east and south it may be +24...29° C.
In Chernihiv, in northern Ukraine, tornadoes are observed, which are a rare phenomenon for this area. Such atmospheric phenomena can occur in conditions of intense surface heating during dry and windy days. However, the weather forecast for summer promises favorable conditions with gradual warming and rare precipitation.
