Naftogaz answered what to do if the gas water heater emits strange sounds.
In the gas supply company NJSC «Naftogaz of Ukraine», they explained what to do if you hear strange sounds from the gas water heater.
This was reported by the company's press service.
The gas water heater can emit various sounds during operation. However, Naftogaz pointed out that some of them are completely normal and should not cause concern. For example, noise when water passes through is a common phenomenon.
However, there are sounds that may indicate problems:
- A humming sound may be a sign of issues with the burner.
- A knocking sound may occur due to scale or gas supply issues.
- A cracking sound is sometimes heard when heating metal parts of the heater.
If you hear unusual sounds and are not sure of their cause, it is better not to risk it and contact a professional to check the equipment. A specialist will be able to determine if there are reasons for concern and, if necessary, eliminate issues.
Previously, we wrote that Ukrainians could be fined 500 thousand for a gas water heater.
Let us remind you that the schedule for the start of the heating season in Ukrainian cities has been published.
