Filling the State Budget: for the first time, money has arrived from fish catch auctions.

Funds from fish catch auctions have been received by the State Budget

The State Budget of Ukraine has received funds collected from auctions for industrial fish catch. Previously, such funds were directed to local budgets, reported the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval.

The budget program 'Measures for the stocking of aquatic biological resources in fishery water bodies' received 3.38 million UAH from the sale of rights for special use of aquatic biological resources in 2025.

'A significant event for Ukrainian aquaculture. These funds will lay the foundation for the restoration of fish populations, increasing the fish productivity of water bodies, preserving biodiversity, and biological amelioration. In addition, this will stimulate the development of fish breeding material production in aquaculture, which is an important stage for the qualitative renewal of the raw material base of industrial fishing,' emphasized Vitaliy Koval.

The minister also noted that this is an important step for the ministry within the framework of the import substitution policy, which contributes to the development of the production of Ukrainian-made goods. This will strengthen the domestic market and support national producers.
