15 billion hryvnias allocated: how many displaced persons will receive new housing in 2025.
Additional funding for displaced persons: 10 thousand families will receive new housing
10 thousand families of displaced persons in Ukraine may receive new housing thanks to additional funding. This was reported by MP Maksym Tkachenko.
The law, which provides for the allocation of 15 billion UAH for compensation to displaced persons, will allow providing new homes for 10 thousand internally displaced families.
The government has already directed 15 billion UAH for compensation for damaged homes that were destroyed due to aggression. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal confirmed the availability of funds for further payment of housing certificates under the program. Funds were also allocated for the implementation of the law that was passed last year.
'Only 1.5% of displaced persons received places in temporary housing. Only 2% of IDPs managed to receive compensation for destroyed or damaged housing in one and a half years of the 'eRecovery' program. As a result, only 4% of displaced persons received any support from the state in solving their housing issues,' Tkachenko stated.
IDPs receive housing certificates under certain conditions, which include the presence of destroyed housing in Ukraine, registered ownership rights, and a certificate of registration as an internally displaced person.
To participate in the 'eRecovery' program, it is necessary to submit an application through the Portal or the 'Diia' app. A certificate for IDPs can be obtained at local government bodies, CNAPs, or through the 'Diia' mobile application.
If the displaced person already has a housing certificate and has applied for the reservation of funds, they will have 30 days to implement and acquire new housing.
This program will help many Ukrainians obtain new housing and improve their living conditions.
