MP denied the liquidation of SAP and NABU — nuances of the draft law.
People's deputy from 'Batkivshchyna' Oleksiy Kucherennko responded to criticism of the new draft law, which, it is said, leads to the cessation of activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP). According to him, this law allows the Attorney General to intervene only in case of inaction of these bodies.
NABU and SAP remain
According to Kucherennko, there is no talk of dissolving SAP and NABU — the draft law simply gives the Prosecutor General the right to intervene in cases of inactivity of these bodies, for example, as happened with the 9-year 'investigation' of Rotterdam+, the case of Kobolev for 800 million hryvnias or blocked audits of energy companies with billion-dollar losses.
'Now the Office of the Prosecutor General will have the opportunity to take these cases under its control — that's all I see in this 'treason', — the message says.
It is worth noting that the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk signed the draft law on SAP and NABU on July 22. The leaders of anti-corruption bodies called on the President to veto this law.
Ukrainian people's deputy Oleksiy Kucherennko responded to criticism of the new draft law regarding the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, noting that the law only grants the Prosecutor General the right to intervene in cases of ineffective activity of these bodies without terminating their work.
