Russia's Offensive on Sumy Region: Head of Regional Military Administration Reported Which Villages Have Been Captured.
Operational Information on Control over Settlements in Sumy Region
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that four settlements in Sumy Region are under the control of Russia. Among these settlements are Novenke, Basyivka of the Yunakivka community and Veselivka, Zhuravka of the Khotyn community. Residents of these areas have been evacuated, and currently, there is no threat to the civilian population.
Hostilities continue on the outskirts of various villages in the Sumy region. According to Hryhorov, Ukrainian forces are keeping the situation under control and delivering precise strikes against the enemy. Earlier, enemy troops managed to establish themselves in the area from Veselivka to Basyivka, which is occupied according to the analytical project DeepState.
“Sumy region is opening up for Russian troops, who are intensifying assault operations through a number of districts. The most tense situation is currently in Sumy and Kharkiv regions,” Hryhorov added.
Due to constant Russian shelling, evacuation of the population from dangerous areas in Sumy region is ongoing. The Sumy military administration informs that about 202 settlements in the region need evacuation.
