According to UATV: At the NATO and G7 summits, Ukraine received additional air defense systems, reaffirmed backing for a ceasefire and sanctions against Russia, and secured commitments for roughly $70 billion in annual assistance. The NATO summit convened in Ankara on July 8, where strategies to support Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict were deliberated.

During the summit, it was announced that planned aid to Ukraine for this year and the next would total approximately $70 billion. These funds are intended to bolster the country's defense capabilities and enhance its security. Serhiy Dzherdzh, a Ukrainian representative, commented:
