President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy posthumously awarded the youngest defender of 'Azovstal' Nazar Hryncevych with the call sign 'Hrinkа' the title of Hero of Ukraine. The Ukrainian warrior returned to the front after captivity, where he died in May 2024.
On Tuesday, July 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to the fallen defender of 'Azovstal' Nazar Hryncevych under the pseudonym 'Hrinkа'.
'For personal courage and heroism displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I decree:
Award the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Golden Star Order to Hryncevych Nazar Andriyovych — junior lieutenant (posthumously)', — says the decree of the head of state.

Nazar Hryncevych with the call sign 'Hrinkа' joined the artillery unit of 'Azov' at the age of 18. After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was the youngest 'Azov' fighter defending Mariupol. He died in battle on May 6, 2024, in the Luhansk direction in the Serebryansky forest. The soldier was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Sabaryvskyi cemetery.
It was previously reported that three soldiers would be posthumously awarded the title 'Hero of Ukraine'.
