A resident of Odesa region did not appear for a summons from the Territorial Center for Recruitment after his mobilization deferment expired. A case for evasion was opened against him, which was considered in the Ivanivskyi District Court.

Details of the case
Originally from the village of Mykhailopil in the Ivanivskyi district of Odesa region, the man previously had a deferment from mobilization and was waiting for its extension. During this time, he received a summons to undergo a military medical commission but did not show up for it. When TCC employees called him, the man said he would not serve because he has two minor children. A criminal case was opened against him for this.
Court's decision
The defendant was found guilty under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion from conscription). The court sentenced him to 3 years of imprisonment.
