According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has raised alarms over Russia’s development of new ballistic missiles with a range of up to 5,000 kilometers. In an interview with BFMTV, he stressed the urgent need to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities in the face of this escalating danger. This warning comes as Ukraine continues to counter Russian aggression in its ongoing war.
Security Collaboration
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is actively enhancing its air and missile defense systems.
“To counter this threat, Ukraine is working on air defense and anti-missile systems,” — Volodymyr Zelensky.As part of this effort, Ukraine has partnered with several nations:
- France
- Sweden
- Denmark
- Italy
- Norway
A significant milestone is the establishment of an 'anti-ballistic coalition,' which now includes nine European countries. This coalition aims to pool resources and expertise to counter long-range missile threats.
Zelensky further noted that
“this project will be 100% European,”highlighting the importance of international cooperation in security matters. Ukraine is committed to strengthening its defensive posture to address new challenges and threats.
