'Not planning to lose': Putin's aides speak of advantage in the war against Ukraine.
Recent days have seen an increase in shelling of Ukraine by Russia, which refuses to heed calls for a 30-day ceasefire proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is reported by 'Hvylya' citing Sky News.
'Right now we have a strategic advantage. Why should we lose it? We are not planning to lose it. We are moving forward. We are advancing and will continue to advance,' stated Peskov.
Dmitry Peskov expressed the opinion that Russia would be ready for a ceasefire, provided there are promises to stop military aid to Ukraine during such a ceasefire. However, he emphasized that Western countries are not ready for this.
We remind you that Zelensky announced the introduction of three new directions in the sanctions policy against Russia.
Difficult situation in the east
Reports of Russia's refusal to agree to a ceasefire and intensified shelling of Ukraine indicate an escalation of the conflict and the aggressive nature of Russia's actions. Conditions for a peaceful settlement remain challenging, and there is no compromise between the parties on the horizon.
