"Incredible mistake": North Korea criticized the new US aid package to Ukraine.
On Sunday, September 29, a news story spread across global media about North Korea's reaction to the new US military aid to Ukraine. The sister of the DPRK leader Kim Yo Jong, who is influential in the North Korean leadership, expressed her criticism of this decision, calling it an "incredible mistake and a senseless act".
According to Reuters, Kim Yo Jong warned the United States and their Western allies about underestimating "Russia's serious warning." She questioned the ability of the West to cope with the consequences if the situation escalates to the level of confrontation with the "nuclear superpower Russia." She also called the new US military aid to Ukraine an "incredible mistake and a senseless act."

Recall that the United States announced a new military aid package to Ukraine worth about $8 billion. It is worth noting that, according to US intelligence, North Korea itself actively supplies weapons to Russia, although Pyongyang and Moscow officially deny any arms trade that violates a UN Security Council resolution.
Vladimir Putin
Meanwhile, Russia announced the update of its nuclear doctrine. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a clarification regarding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons, including in the case of a "critical threat" from an adversary, even if conventional weapons are used.
Experts from the Institute for the Study of War believe that such statements by Russia are aimed at provoking a new wave of concern among Western politicians when Ukraine is in a critical state. In their opinion, it is an attempt by Moscow to revive its old tactic of nuclear intimidation.
