Netflix updates its gaming and live streaming service.
Netflix unveils new design for its streaming service
Netflix Inc. has introduced a new design for its popular streaming service, aimed at highlighting new types of content and making it easier for users to find programs.
The updated home page consolidates materials by specific titles and refreshes program recommendations in real time. It will now also inform viewers about upcoming live streams and game updates.
“Our revamped TV homepage is simpler, more intuitive, and better reflects the variety of entertainment on Netflix today,” said Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim.
Netflix has decided to simplify the content discovery process by adapting the new design, which helps reduce the number of unnecessary elements and provides more context regarding program titles to make it easier for viewers to choose.
Additionally, the new service interface will allow Netflix to respond quickly to new trends, including advertising.
The company uses machine learning and artificial intelligence for content recommendations, and users can search for shows using an AI-based search tool.
