A Mega Airport for 100 Million Passengers Opens in Vietnam: What You Need to Know.

According to The Sun: The Long Thanh International Airport, a major international airport in Vietnam, is set to open soon and is expected to become one of the most significant airports in the world. It will begin operations next year after many years of construction.
Heerim Design ArchitectsThe airport, located about 40 km east of Ho Chi Minh City, will be able to accommodate up to 100 million passengers per year. The total construction cost is 336 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 9.5 billion pounds).
Long Thanh will feature three terminals and four runways. The main building will be a true architectural gem, adorned with an 82-meter glass roof shaped like a lotus flower.
Airport Development Plans
The new airport is expected to replace the current Tan Son Nhat International Airport, relocating international flights to a new base. Tan Son Nhat will only handle domestic and short-haul flights.
It is planned that after the airport opens, it will serve 25 million passengers in the first phase, making it one of the largest in the world, alongside other airports in Atlanta and Dubai. A fourth terminal and another runway are also planned to be constructed by 2035.

Travel Costs in Vietnam
Travel costs in Vietnam remain affordable. According to data from Sun Online Travel, airfares from Vietnamese airlines start at £376 round trip. Hotels in Hoi An are also very affordable, with a stay in a four-star hotel starting from £23 per person per night for two.
