A New Water Complex Will Open in London
According to The Sun: A new water attraction has received approval in the UK. The Surf London complex will open in Lee Valley in the northwest of London, continuing the success of a similar establishment in Bristol.
APG ArchitecturePreviously known as The Wave London, the main part of the complex will be a surfing lake that will offer waves for both beginners and experienced surfers. Various classes and water activities will also be organized to facilitate surfing lessons for city residents.
Plans include a large green area with a skate park and children's play areas. The entire complex, covering 100 acres, will also offer various health and fitness activities.
The complex will be located next to Lee Valley campsite, which has nearly 90 spots for tents and cars. The camping site will also be renovated as part of this project.
Surf London will share parking with other nearby venues, such as the Odeon cinema and the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
The entertainment venue has received planning approval from the local council, but the exact opening date has not yet been confirmed.
Surf London will be similar to The Wave in Bristol, which opened in 2019. This venue became the first indoor surfing spot in the UK.
Prices for surfing lessons range from £45 for children to £50 for adults, while sessions will cost £40 and £45, respectively.
