According to The Sun: Train fares can often be high, but now there is a chance to buy tickets with discounts of up to 50%. The only condition is not to know in advance what time the train departs.

Seatfrog has launched a program called 'Secret Fares' in collaboration with rail companies, allowing passengers to significantly save on certain routes.

With Seatfrog, Brits can travel between major cities for prices starting at £4, for example, from Liverpool to Sheffield.

The main condition is that travelers will not know the exact departure time of the train until the booking is made. You can only choose your preferred time of day: morning, afternoon or evening.

Details about the train will appear 24 hours before departure together with the electronic ticket.

Other advantageous routes include London Waterloo to Portsmouth for £7, Norwich to Nottingham for £16, and Derby to London St Pancras for £12.

You can also reach Wales from London Paddington for £15, including to Cardiff.

Another route for £15 is from London Paddington to Newport, or from London to Swansea, where tickets start at £23.

These fares are available not only at the last minute – tickets can be booked in advance, and this is possible three months before the trip or five days before departure.

However, it is worth remembering that tickets are non-refundable. Also, these fares cannot be used with railcards.

If you are traveling with friends, you can book together, but there is no guarantee of sitting next to each other.
