Direct railway connection from London: which British town will get the route.
According to The Sun: New railway routes from London to the town of Seaham in County Durham will open this winter. Grand Central has received approval to launch four daily trains in each direction from April 2025. It will take just a few hours to cover that distance and enjoy the sea and the naturally beautiful landscape of Seaham.
Traveling from the south to the northern coast, one can expect a wonderful holiday in Seaham. The town in County Durham has a kilometer-long pebble beach where you can collect sea glass scattered along the shore.
There is even a designated area for voles - a defined patch of land where the small underground rodents live peacefully in the soil. You can also see dolphins leaping from the water.
In January 2025, trains will depart on new routes from London to Seaham, offering people the opportunity to explore the beauty of this picturesque town on the coast of England.
