According to Novyny.live: On the night of June 6, Russian forces launched a massive drone offensive against Ukraine, deploying an unprecedented number of unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukrainian defenders successfully neutralized over 200 of these drones. The attack originated from Russian territory, with 19 confirmed strikes recorded across 11 separate locations.

Details of the Assault

A total of 272 attack drones were used in the operation, including the following types:

  • Shahed
  • Gerbera
  • Italmas
  • 'Banderol' loitering munitions
  • 'Parody' decoy drones

Ukraine's air defense system demonstrated remarkable effectiveness, intercepting or suppressing 249 enemy UAVs. Downed drones and their debris fell across 13 locations.

In addition to the aerial assault, Russian forces struck critical and industrial infrastructure targets in Zaporizhzhia. This attack resulted in the deaths of two enterprise employees. The previous day, on June 5, Russian troops also hit several areas in Dnipropetrovsk region, killing two civilians.
