According to Novyny.live: On the night of June 12, Russian forces unleashed a large-scale drone attack against Ukraine, deploying 117 unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukrainian defense units successfully neutralized 102 of these drones, demonstrating a high level of preparedness and effectiveness in countering aerial threats.
The assault began on the evening of June 11 after 6:00 PM and continued until the morning of June 12. Reports indicate that 14 strike drones hit targets across seven different locations. This attack resulted in the death of one female railway worker and left another with severe injuries.
New Interceptor Drones and Evolving Threats
Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have also recently integrated the new LITAVR interceptor drones into their arsenal. The attack involved a variety of drone models, including:
- Shahed
- Gerbera
- Italmas
- Parody imitation drones
These drones were launched from locations in Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Cape Chauda, and the Gvardeyskoye airfield.
