Forgotten items on the Ukrainian Railways train: how to return baggage according to the law.
Thousands of Ukrainians use the services of Ukrainian Railways every day. Most of them arrive at the station with their suitcase, devices, documents, and other items. Therefore, it is important not to forget to check if everything is left in your carriage.
What to do if you leave something in the carriage
If you lost something on the train, at the station, or on the platform, a special act is drawn up that describes the appearance of your belongings and the conditions of their finding. You will be given a copy of the act, and your belongings will be handed over to a representative of the railway company for further storage.
- At the station, the act is drawn up by the station master or the station manager.
- On the train, the act is drawn up by the train conductor or chief steward together with the attendant.
Each item is assigned a label indicating the station and serial number. Before receiving the items, the owner must confirm their ownership by presenting documents and describing the found items.
How to get lost items
Items stored at the station will be returned to you after checking the documents. If you lost something in the carriage, contact the station master from which you departed. You can also check the availability of lost baggage online through the Ukrainian Railways system.
Careful attention to your personal belongings during travel will help avoid inconveniences and quickly recover lost items.
