New mobilization rules: what will change for men over 50 and entrepreneurs.
According to the new legislation, citizens of Ukraine who have crossed the 50-year mark can now be called up for military service under general conditions. This means the need to review military data, timely notification of address changes, and the constant carrying of military documents.
According to 'Novyny.live', the new rules provide for punitive sanctions from Territorial Recruitment Centers for individuals in this age group who evade conscription or refuse to undergo military medical commissions. These changes are part of a broader update to mobilization legislation.
New principles and improvements
The law 'On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine' expands the opportunities for citizens aged 40-55 to fulfill their constitutional duty in the field of national defense and territorial integrity.
Particular attention is paid in the new legislative initiative to the issues of conscription for private entrepreneurs during mobilization. Social guarantees for military personnel have also been improved, which will promote the fulfillment of patriotic duty and ensure their social protection.
The new legislation also provides for preventing a reduction in social guarantees for reserve officers who will receive less prestigious positions during mobilization. Measures have also been taken to improve the staffing of the Armed Forces and optimize logistics in mobilization situations.
