According to TSN.ua: In Ukraine, key priorities for the Ministry of Defense's work have been defined following a meeting with the newly appointed minister Mykhailo Fedorov. President Volodymyr Zelensky informed about the main tasks that will be set before the ministry in the near future.
Mykhailo Fedorov, the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine, aims to focus on protecting the Ukrainian sky and enhancing technology in coordination with the military. One of the first steps will be an audit of defense financing, which will allow identifying and eliminating deficits. Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the minister will present ways to close these deficits and solutions for increasing financial support for the Ukrainian military on the front lines.
Priority Initiatives
- Introducing a basic level of supply for combat brigades with drones, which will enhance the effectiveness of combat units.
- Systematic solutions to the issues faced by territorial recruitment centers (TRC) for fair distribution of personnel.
Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to parliamentarians for supporting the newly appointed minister and emphasized the importance of promptly implementing already adopted decisions that should provide more opportunities for both the defense and security forces of Ukraine and for the stable functioning of the state's economy. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine will soon present a new team for the ministry aimed at realizing the stated priorities.
These changes in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are taking place against the backdrop of ongoing military aggression and the need to modernize defense structures. The audit of financing and emphasis on drones indicate an intention to improve the effectiveness of military actions and adapt to new technological challenges. The successful implementation of these initiatives could significantly impact the combat readiness of Ukrainian troops under current security conditions.
