New Monthly State Payments Scheduled for 2026
According to Novyny.live: The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced a new system of monthly state payments set to begin in 2026 for specific groups of citizens. These payments are designed to support participants in the defense of Ukraine's sovereignty and their family members. According to the new regulations, the monthly financial assistance will range from 8,600 to 25,000 Ukrainian hryvnias. This initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster social support systems during a period of ongoing national defense.
Eligibility and Payment Amounts
Who qualifies for these monthly payments? Individuals awarded the Order 'For Courage' will receive 8,647 hryvnias. Those holding the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky can expect 17,294 hryvnias. The highest payment, 25,941 hryvnias, is designated for individuals bearing the title Hero of Ukraine. Family members of fallen heroes will receive 12,970.50 hryvnias, an amount equivalent to 1.5 times the national minimum wage.
The rules for granting this state supplement allow applications to be submitted in either paper or electronic form. It is important to note that, under the Law 'On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine', payments to persons with the 'Cross of Combat Merit' distinction will be assigned starting September 3, 2025.
Supporting Ukraine's Defenders and Their Families
What else is important to know? These new provisions form a key part of the state's support for those defending Ukraine's sovereignty and their families. Maintaining support for socially vulnerable groups remains a government priority, as evidenced by these proposed changes to the payment system.
The introduction of these new financial payments for participants in Ukraine's defense and their relatives represents a significant step in strengthening social support for those who risk their lives for the country's security. These changes underscore the state's commitment to aiding those who have sacrificed their lives or health in defense of national interests. The implementation of these new payment programs is also expected to contribute positively to social stability within the country during a time of military conflict.
