In July 2025, Russia set a new antirecord for the number of drones launched into Ukrainian territory. During this month, Russian forces used more than 6 thousand strike drones. This information was publicized by analyst Kyle Glenn on social media X. After yesterday's attack, the total number of launched 'Shahed' and 'Gerbera' drones reached 6,297, which is 1,378% more than in July 2024. The analyst also noted that this is the first time Russia has used over 6 thousand drones against Ukraine. In June of the same year, over 5 thousand drones were launched. Moreover, Glenn pointed out that in July there were periods of calm when Russia did not carry out large-scale attacks due to bad weather. He added that Russia's capabilities in the field of drones significantly increased at the end of 2024 and in 2025. According to the data from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of July 31, 2025, Russian occupiers conducted a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones, resulting in casualties and injuries. At that time, 317 attacks had been launched.
