Video Monitoring System for the Odesa-Reni Highway

According to Novyny.live: Plans are underway to deploy a video surveillance and automated traffic management system along the Odesa-Reni highway. This technology will integrate with the 'eCherha' service and be installed at the 'Reni — Giurgiulești' border checkpoint. The estimated procurement cost is 3.19 million UAH, with system installation expected to be completed by the end of August 2023.

Construction of a Temporary Bridge Over the Dniester River

Separately, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Odesa Oblast has commissioned the construction of a temporary bridge across the Dniester River near the village of Mayaky. The project is budgeted at over 200 million UAH. The contract was awarded to 'Kyiv Bridge Construction Company' LLC without an open tender. Completion of the bridge is scheduled for December 31, 2026. The construction will require:

• nearly 988 tons of steel pipes;
• over 370 meters of metal barrier fencing.

It is worth noting that in December 2025, Russian attacks targeted the bridge near Mayaky, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to three children. These incidents underscore the critical need for both new infrastructure and enhanced security measures.
