A resident of Odesa region doused his acquaintance with gasoline during an argument and set her on fire. Fortunately, the woman survived and is in the hospital. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison.

Details of the case
A 39-year-old woman from the Rоздільнянський district was at the home of her 36-year-old acquaintance in one of the villages of Vygodyanska community in the Odesa district. During the drinking of alcoholic beverages, a conflict arose between them. In the course of heated arguments, the man doused the guest with gasoline, which was stored under the table in a tank for a grass trimmer, and set her on fire with a match. The victim ran out of the house, where local residents helped her extinguish the fire and called for medical help. The woman was hospitalized with burns covering about 20% of her body. Police, who were notified of the incident by the medics, conducted a search and seized a number of material evidence from the suspect's residence, which were sent for examination.
What punishment is threatened
The suspect has been notified of suspicion under part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted intentional murder). He faces up to 15 years of imprisonment.
