Volodymyr Ostopchuk's Home Targeted in Attack
According to TSN.ua: Volodymyr Ostopchuk's house in the village of Vyshenky, Boryspil district, sustained major damage from shelling on the night of February 22. Ostopchuk shares the home with his ex-wife, Khrystyna Hornyak. This incident is a stark reminder of how the war continues to impact civilian areas far from the front lines.
Following the attack, the building's gutter system was destroyed, windows were blown out, and the gates were torn off. Local residents provided accounts of the scene. In particular, eyewitness Kateryna Poltavska stated:
“Unfortunately, it’s not just windows; there are none left in the entire house. The street behind this house is a mess. The gates were also blown away. Police are everywhere.” - Kateryna Poltavska
Civilian Life Disrupted by Ongoing Military Actions
The situation in Vyshenky illustrates the persistent military activity in Ukraine and its direct consequences for non-combatants. Shelling and similar incidents leave a profound mark on communities forced to endure the conflict's fallout. The damage to private property and infrastructure faced by residents underscores the critical need for sustained international support and efforts to stabilize the region.
