Kharkiv Attack on March 27, 2023
According to UATV: On March 27, 2023, the Russian Federation launched an attack on Kharkiv, causing casualties and damaging a residential building. The strike targeted the Kyivskyi district, where a Russian missile hit a multi-story apartment block. Eight people were injured as a result of the incident. The nine-story building also sustained damage to its internal structures and balcony.
Local Authorities Respond and Broader Context
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed the attack, stating:
“the enemy shelled the Kyivskyi district of the city” — Ihor Terekhov
Additionally, a drone explosion was recorded in the same area. Meanwhile, Russian forces carried out over 70 assaults across four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving another seven people injured. Those attacks also destroyed residential homes and infrastructure facilities.
