Three Dead and Thirteen Wounded in Sumy Region Attacks Over Past Day.
Assault on Sumy Region
According to Novyny.live: On March 20, 2023, Russian forces launched attacks on the Sumy region, killing three people and wounding 13 residents. In the Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, two men aged 37 and 33 lost their lives. A third victim, a 62-year-old man, was discovered in the Velykopysarivska community. Among the injured were men aged 54 and 40.
The shelling in Sumy region resulted in tragic consequences, with four civilians harmed in the Esmanska community. Two men were wounded by a drone strike in the Vorozhbyanska community, and three more men sustained injuries in the Sumy city community.
Strikes in Other Regions
Attacks on other areas also caused casualties. During the night of March 20, Russians targeted the Zaporizhzhia district, killing one person. In Bilenke, Zaporizhzhia region, a 48-year-old woman was injured. On March 19, power outages were recorded in three regions: Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy. These events highlight the dire situation in regions under constant bombardment.
The increasing intensity of shelling across Ukraine, particularly in Sumy and Zaporizhzhia, underscores the ongoing military operations that are inflicting heavy civilian casualties. These incidents emphasize the urgent need for international support and enhanced security measures to protect innocent residents. The situation remains tense, and further escalation of violence could lead to severe humanitarian consequences for conflict-affected areas.
