The Head of Zhytomyr OVA reported on the traps Ukraine has set on the border with Belarus.

The border of Ukraine with Belarus in the Zhytomyr region is completely concreted, and protective measures have been established near the frontiers. This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr OVA, Vitaliy Bunechko, in an interview with the publication 'Glavcom'.
'I believe we have taken into account all the mistakes made at the beginning of the invasion. Over the past years, we have significantly strengthened the protection of the state border, there are always military units present, which continue to reinforce the defensive lines,' he said.
According to Bunechko, a 'real hellish trap' has been created for the enemy at the border. Obstacles, ditches, platoon and company strongholds have been arranged here, which serve as a defense base. The military constantly monitors the approach of enemy personnel and equipment.
Security Situation
As of the end of May, according to Bunechko, there is currently no direct threat of invasion into the Zhytomyr region from Belarus, so residents of the northern communities are safe. At the same Time, the border area from the Volyn region to Chernihiv remains potentially dangerous.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, stated that there are currently no threatening group formations within Belarus that would pose a direct threat to Ukraine.
Ukrainian military continue to strengthen the defensive lines on the border with Belarus in the Zhytomyr region, creating reliable protection against potential threats. According to the head of the Zhytomyr OVA, the situation at the border is currently stable, but the area from the Volyn region to Chernihiv remains under heightened control due to potential danger. Cooperation with the State Border Service and strengthening border defense allows for maintaining security in the region without direct threat of invasion.
