Courage Lessons in Occupied Territories
In temporarily occupied territories, Russian military organize classes in schools, which they call courage lessons. The main goal of these lessons is to justify the war and the presence of Russians in Ukrainian territories. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing data from the Center for National Resistance (CNR).During these classes, children are imposed the idea of legitimacy of Russian aggression. According to the CNR, all those involved in this propaganda have already been identified. These actions are part of Russia's policy of indoctrination of the Ukrainian population and manipulation of children. 'The identities of these pseudo-teachers have already been established, their 'pedagogical career' will be short-lived,' emphasized the CNR.
Decreasing Number of Students in Crimea
A significant decrease in the number of children enrolling in the first grade is observed in annexed Crimea. In Sevastopol, according to the Center for National Resistance, as of August 25, only 4211 students have registered. This occurs against the backdrop of deteriorating demographic situation in the occupied regions.Russia and China's Plan for Education
Russia, together with China, intends to create an educational enclave in temporarily occupied Luhansk region. They plan to open a school for 300 students from the PRC, integrating Chinese students and businesses. Chinese organizations have already registered a legal entity and are looking for premises for the educational center through the Russian Territorial Development Fund. As higher education in China is paid, some parents are seeking cheaper education options abroad. Thus, the conduct of courage lessons in occupied territories and attempts by Russia and China to change educational opportunities for youth indicate a desire to influence the consciousness of the future generation. This could have serious consequences for the political situation in the region, as forming new generations with Russian and Chinese values can change the societal structure and cultural traditions in Ukraine.Read also
